It is a
well known saying that marriages are made in heaven but they are solemnized on
earth that’s what most of us believe in and say. Most people dream of a
lavish marriage but the reality in India is that expensive marriage
celebrations and heavy dowry demands. That’s exactly what Aamir Khan talks
about on his show Satyamev Jayate on Sunday.

like female foeticide and child sex abuse in the first and second episode
respectively, Aamir Khan Talk about dowry on Indian marriages and mark
left on innocent women.
This Show tried to drop
light on the fact that the problem of dowry is not just prevailing among the
lower classes but across all sections of society. The show highlighted many
stories of ugly truths about giving and
accepting dowry in our big fat Indian weddings.
The show even included an inspiring story, that
of Mumbai’s Rani Tripathi of middle class family, Rani fought for what was
right and took control of her own life .She decided to catch their greed on
camera along with her family by doing a sting operation.
Aamir
khan has appealed the people to spend money on their children education rather
than spending on their dowry.
